CRT gathers French technical communicators involved in the design and development of documents and other information products related to technical products (software products, industrial or consumer goods, etc.).

Its mission is:

to represent and promote technical communication as a trade before governmental and educational bodies, the press and the industry

to facilitate communication between members

to inform its members of job opportunities and other miscellaneous topics
