The CRT:

organizes activities for its members

maintains contacts with "sister" societies in other countries

organised 3 events: Comtec'97, Comtec'98 and Comtec’99

organises Comtec 2003

European projects

In 2002, the CRT joined other similar organisations in Europe to form TCeurope. Within TCEurope, we participate to projects aiming at increasing the visibility of our organisations and at having the technical communication industry increase its quality.

Two projets, partly financed by the European Commission, are worth noting:

Relations with the translators

The CRT is in touch with French translation societies and follows the evolution and talks relating to the definition of the translators' status in France with a view to define technical communicators' status in a similar fashion.

Relations with Intecom

The CRT is a member of Intecom, the international federation of technical communication societies which groups nearly 25,000 members.
